Moving from primary to secondary school can be a big step for students and their families. St Raphael's Catholic School offers a series evenets to help our new Year 7 students and their families get to know more about the next step in the educational journey. Year 7 Curriculum
Year 7 students will enjoy an extensive curriculum including the following subjects:
- Religious Education
- English
- Mathematics
- Science
- HSIE (History and Geography)
- PDHPE/Sport
- Visual Arts
- Music
- Technology Mandatory including:
- Digital Technologies,
- Agriculture,
- Food Technologies,
- Engineered Systems,
- Material Technology
Year 7 students will also be involved in the following educational and social/emotional learning programs:
- Renaissance Reading Program
- Year 7 Wellbeing Program
- Peer Support Program
- Our "7 Ex" program which aims to "Excel, Extend, Explore, Exchange, Excite, Expand, Extrapolate" students in a range of workshops.
Year 7 will also be able to be involved in the extensive range of co-curricular activities including:
- School Band
- School Choir
- Individual Music lessons
- Minecraft Mondays
- Debating
- Spelling Bee
- Da Vinci Decathlon
